Turn right (southbound) onto University Ave.
Turn left (eastbound) at the first light onto Bulldog Ave.

To the Talmage Building (map)

Travel up the hill and through the first stop light.  About a block from the light, the road will start to curve to the right, and the visitor parking lot will be on your right just before the curve.

Next to the visitor parking lot will be the Museum of Art. Go around the museum and to the main campus quad. Walk diagonally across the quad. To the south (your left) you will see a glass-enclosed building to the BYU Library. As you get to the other corner of the quad, the Talmage building is immediately to the west (away from the library and the mountains). The Computer Science Department is on the west side of the building.

  • The Computer Science Department office is on the third floor in room 3361.
  • The department conference room is next door in room 3365.
  • The Graphics, Vision, and Image Processing lab is in room 2255 on the second floor.
  • Prof. Morse's office is in room 3320. (Turn left out of the elevator on the third floor and go straight--it's right in front of you.)

Note: BYU does not permit smoking anywhere on campus. Coffee and tea are not available on campus.

About Provo

Provo is located in Utah Valley, less than an hour south of Salt Lake City in the State of Utah. It enjoys a small town atmosphere with 105,000 residents, a good business community, and two large universities. The 11,750 foot Mount Timpanogos dominates the skyline north of the city and the 23 mile long Utah Lake is just to the west.  There are numerous hotels in Provo which are convenient to the BYU campus. You can either rent a car at the airport or take the Rocky Mountain Super Express shuttle service to Provo. The shuttle service can drop you off at your hotel or at the BYU Wilkenson Center.
